Human rights are the universal standards to which everyone—regardless of color, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status—is entitled. Although human rights are principally the responsibility of national governments as defined clearly in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations in 1948, human rights have increasingly become an issue of great significance to businesses' success.
We, ASUSTek Computer Inc, are committed to respecting our employees' human rights.
ASUS Human Rights Policy
At ASUS, we are committed to ensuring strict adherence to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as a common standard of entitlement for our employees. In October 2008, we declared our unflagging support of, and respect for, the protection of international human rights with the adoption of the ASUS Human Rights Policy. This policy statement also underlines our pledge not to be complicit in human rights abuses.
