為什麼要回收？
如果含有有害化學物質的廢棄電腦、筆記型電腦和其他電子設備被直接丟棄在垃圾場，將會對環境造成非常嚴重的危害。然而，若透過回收再利用，可將一臺廢棄電腦裡的金屬、塑膠和其他零件拆解分離，不但能將拆解的部分其製成新產品再利用，還能一併保護環境免於受到電腦中未管控的有害化?物?的危害。

2008年起，華碩與環保署、中經院合作推行「再生電腦 希望工程」的活動，主要目的是將電子廢棄物回收，經測試、修整成可再使用的再生電腦，並且將再生電腦捐贈給弱勢族群和清寒學童。回收活動自即日起至今年年底，回收項目主要包括廢主機（至少包含機殼、電源供應器、主機板）、廢螢幕(CRT/LCD)、與廢筆記型電腦。此活動的對象分為一般消費者企業客戶，一般消費者只要將任一品牌的主機、螢幕或是筆記型電腦送至指定回收地點，包括華碩皇家俱樂部、燦坤門市、大豐回收站，即可參加產品舊換新優惠活動；企業客戶的回收同樣可享有產品舊換新優惠，只要從華碩回收網站(http://recycling.asus.com)進入企業回收專屬介面登錄回收相關資料，或撥打回收服務專線(0800-077-277)，皆有專人服務。
